Title:
EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL DEVICE FOR ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3879133
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the sulfate, which is heaped on the catalyst by the lean treatment for promoting activity of the catalyst.
SOLUTION: In an exhaust emission control device for engine, in which the fuel is supplied so as to be burned in the condition richer than the stoichiometric air fuel ratio at the time of cooling the engine, a lean processing means 31 performs the learn processing so that the exhaust air fuel ratio of a catalyst inlet becomes a lean side value in comparison with the stoichiometric air fuel ratio at the time of cooling of the catalyst provided in an exhaust pipe, and a rich processing means 32 performs the rich processing so that the exhaust air fuel ratio of the catalyst inlet becomes a rich side value in comparison with the stoichiometric air fuel ratio after the lean processing.
