Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable SO2 quantity and SOx quantity to be easily measured by measuring a quantity of SO2 in exhaust gas in a state in which the exhaust gas is cooled and SOx is removed and in a state in which the exhaust gas is heat-treated and SOx is converted into SO2.
SOLUTION: When a flow path switch 12 is actuated and a sample 7 is made to flow into a line 9, the sample 7 is cooled by an electronic cooler 15, SOx such as SO2 and SO4 therein is removed, SOx such as SO3 and SO4 therein is removed, and only SO2 is induced into an analyzer 18. Therefore, SO2 quantity in the sample 7 can be measured by the analyzer 18. Then, the flow path switch 12 is actuated and the sample 7 is made to flow into a line 10, SOx such as SO3 and SO4 in the sample 7 is thermally dissociated in a thermal decomposition furnace 11 and converted into SO2. When this is induced into the analyzer 18, a sum of SO2 quantity and SOx quantity in the sample 7 is measured by the analyzer 18, the obtained SO2 quantity is reduced therefrom, and whereby SOx quantity can be calculated.
