Title:
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING ZERO POINT OF SCREW-DOWN LOCATION IN 2-STAGE HORIZONTAL ROLLING MILL AND DEVICE THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3388105
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting the zero point of screwdown location suitable to a 2-stage horizontal rolling mill the reduction fastening force of which is small or with which kiss-roll is impossible and device therefor.
SOLUTION: Hydraulic jacks 21 are respectively interposed on the operator side and drive side of the gap between upper and lower work rolls 2, 3 in an opened state and respective roll gaps on the operator side and drive side are measured by executing one-point loading of a heavy load in the actual rolling region to the hydraulic jacks 21. The obtained respective roll gaps on the operator side and drive side are compared and, when there is difference between both, the zero point of the screw-down location is adjusted by adjusting roll position so as to eliminate the difference.
