Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat power generation system capable of efficiently generating electricity using waste heat of an engine.SOLUTION: When a temperature of cooling water detected by a temperature sensor 61 reaches a certain level, a control section 60 starts a booster pump 41 and an air-cooling fan 51. When the booster pump 41 is started, a working medium in a circulation channel is sucked thereinto and sent toward an evaporator 21 by pressure. The working medium passing through the evaporator 21 is heated by heat transferred from cooling water and evaporates when the temperature thereof exceed a boiling point. The working medium in a form of vapor expands in an expander 31 and rotates a rotor thereof. Rotational energy of the rotor is converted into electric energy through a generator 32. The expanded working medium is then cooled by the air-cooling fan 51 in a condenser 22 and returns back to fluid by condensation. The working medium returned back to the liquid is again sucked into the booster pump 41 and sent toward the evaporator 21 by pressure.
