Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation of the peripheral ground so as to carry out the expansion and shrinkage construction smoothly by providing an earth pressure gauge on a side face of a shield machine provided with an expansion and shrinkage mechanism and controlling expansion and shrinkage speeds based on earth pressure which acts on an outer shell which expands and shrinks.
SOLUTION: Earth pressure gauges 41, 42 are provided on side faces of right and left propulsion blocks 5, 7 of a front barrel part 3a of a shield machine 1 provided with an expansion and shrinkage mechanism and right and left construction blocks 9, 11 of a rear barrel part 3c thereof, and an earth exhaust mechanism which loads digged earth and sand into the shield machine 1 is provided in the front barrel part 3a. When the expansion and shrinkage construction is done by the shield machine 1, earth pressure acting on an outer shell is detected by the earth pressure gauges 41, 42 and expansion and shrinkage speeds are controlled based on the detected earth pressure to suppress the deformation of the peripheral ground. Moreover, earth and sand which become resistance at the time of width expansion travel are loaded into the shield machine 1 through a loading port of the earth exhaust mechanism, and a filler is injected into a clearance between the shield machine 1 and the ground at the time of width shrinkage construction to suppress the deformation of the peripheral ground so that the expansion and shrinkage construction can be done smoothly.
