Title:
OIL DAMPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3870993
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability for consistently stable damping characteristic by preventing air (bubbles) discharged from oil chambers to a reservoir from being inhaled again to the oil chambers in an inner cylinder in the expansion processes of a piston rod.
SOLUTION: In this oil damper, a damping force generating orifice 1f served as an air bleeding hole is drilled at both ends on the upper side of an inner cylinder 1 to communicate oil chambers B, etc., in the inner cylinder 1 with a reservoir. Annular recessed grooves 1c, 1d are molded in the outer periphery of the inner cylinder 1 to be communicated with the damping force generating orifice 1f served as time air bleeding hole. The annular recessed grooves 1c, 1d are covered with a C-shaped ring member 13 to be open (e) in part to the lower oil dipped side of the reservoir so that the reservoir can be communicated with the oil chambers B, etc., via an annular communication passage (m) formed by a ring member 13 and the annular recessed grooves 1c, 1d.
