Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for suppression of optical power variation by suppressing mode hop without using temperature control by means of a Peltier element, and increasing wavelength stability.SOLUTION: An external resonator light-emitting device 1 includes a semiconductor laser light source 2 having an active layer for oscillating semiconductor laser light, a grating element 9 having a ridge optical waveguide having an incidence plane of semiconductor laser light and an emission plane for emitting light of a desired wavelength, and a Bragg grating consisting of protrusions and recesses formed in the ridge optical waveguide, a mounting board 22 for mounting the semiconductor laser light source and the grating element, and heat conduction suppression means 21 for suppressing heat conduction between the semiconductor laser light source 2 and mounting board 22, and between the grating element 9 and mounting board 22.
