A facility layout map is displayed on a large screen 3, and an operator sets one point on the facility layout map and the direction of the view point with a pointer 11 and a joy stick 9. The image of a specified facility seen from the specified direction is displayed on the large screen 3, and the three-dimensional sound corresponding to the image is outputted. The operator operates the joy stick 9 to adjust the direction of the view point, changes the image and sound, and searches for an apparatus generating an abnormal sound. When the apparatus generating an abnormal sound is specified, the operator takes a simple emergency action. When it is not specified, the operator changes the direction of the view point and changes the facility and searches for the apparatus generating an abnormal sound until it is specified.
