To prevent damage of a facility of a hot rolling mill with good response.SOLUTION: A facility damage prevention device of hot rolling mills 1A to 1E includes load cells 2A to 2E for detecting a rolling load of rolling mills 1A to 1E, and a control part 3 for outputting an emergency stop command to the facilities of the rolling mills 1A to 1E when determining that the rolling load detected by the load cells 2A to 2E exceeds a first preset threshold.
