PURPOSE: To attain deputy reception without use of a memory device or the like by providing a function monitoring a channel signal on a bus of an ISDN line and applying restart procedure instead when an interrupt notice is issued so as to apply deputy reception.

CONSTITUTION: A control function for a network with a D-channel signal to connect a bus to an ISDN line and a monitor function for the D-channel signal are provided so as to detect it that an intermediate notice caused by shortage of toner or ribbon is issued by D-channel signal control from other terminal facsimile equipments 3, 4. Then the succeeding restart procedure is implemented in place of the other terminal facsimile equipments 3, 4 and the reception is entered succeedingly to apply deputy reception function. Thus, deputy reception is attained without use of a memory device or the like.
