Abstract:
To provide a facsimile machine and a facsimile charging method in which charging corresponding to a resolution at the time of facsimile transmission is made possible in a fixed-amount charging system.
A negotiation is made with a facsimile machine of a destination to transmit an image of a document thereto, a resolution at the time of image transmission is determined based on capabilities of the facsimile machine of the destination, and charging is performed after transmitting the image based on the resolution.
