Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce burden on a user and predict a failure with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A failure prediction device includes: settling means for settling a schedule at which an image forming apparatus outputs a test image; reception means for receiving the test image transmitted from the image forming apparatus according to the settled schedule; analysis means for analyzing the test image received by the reception means; determination means for determining whether or not the image forming apparatus fails on the basis of a chronological transition of the analysis result in the analysis means; and calculation means for calculating an evaluation value of the test image on the basis of the chronological transition of the analysis result in the analysis means. The settling means settles the schedule according to the evaluation value of the test image calculated in the calculation means.
