Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect a fault quickly and accurately regardless of the degree of the fault by deciding the working state of a control system in response to the correlative coefficient between the target value and the feedback value. CONSTITUTION:The deviation between the target value (x) and the feedback value (y) is obtained by an arithmetic unit 11, and a controller 12 is actuated by the obtained deviation to set values (x) and (y) equal to each other. A fault detector 15 consists of a sample device 16, a correlative coefficient operator 17, and a fault deciding device 18. The device 16 samples every proper time interval the value (x) and the value (y) of a control system 14. The operator 17 feeds the sampled values (x) and (y) to calculate a correlative coefficient. The device 18 decides the working state of the system 14 in response to the correlative coefficient.
