Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for feeding ruminants with feed with excellent nutritional value and feed efficiency without the occurence of ruminal acidosis.SOLUTION: On the basis of the present invention, ruminal acidosis can be effectively inhibited in ruminants by making the ruminants ingest feed containing 1-50 mass% of wood pulp converted to dry matter and adjusting the molar ratio of acetic acid/propionic acid in the rumen of the ruminant to 3.0-7.0.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
