Title:
FEEDBACK SIGNAL REFERENCE TYPE POWER AMPLIFIER SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3837703
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feedback signal reference type power amplifier system for compensating the distortion of an amplifier to minimize the error between a feedback signal from an output of the amplifier and a reference signal and preventing an excess signal due to distortion compensation from being given to the amplifier resulting in the deterioration of the spectrum even when one of the amplifiers fails and an output level is decreased.
SOLUTION: A distributor 8-3 distributes an output signal from a distortion compensation arithmetic circuit 8-1 to amplifiers 8-41, 8-42, where the signal is amplified and an output composite apparatus 8-5 composes the amplified outputs. The output composite apparatus 8-5 has a composite terminal from which a composite signal resulting from composing outputs of both amplifiers in-phase is outputted and an isolation terminal from which a signal resulting from canceling inverted outputs of both amplifiers whose phases are deviated by 90-degrees from each other is outputted. The output from the composite terminal is given to a directional coupler 8-6, which extracts part of the output as a feedback signal, and a feedback composite device 1-1 composed the feedback signal with the output signal from the isolation terminal. Even when one of the amplifiers is faulty, a feedback input to a comparison arithmetic device 8-2 is kept at a constant level.
