PURPOSE: To enable to feed rolled paper exactly in a prescribed quantity at high speed, by providing a paper feeding lever which engages with a cam fixed to a continuously-rotating shaft, and a rolled-paper feeding lever which engages with rolled paper, and by letting out the rolled paper more than one pitch of the paper feeding after the completion thereof.

CONSTITUTION: A rolled-paper feeding lever 11 is stopped at a first position 32 when it is on standby. With the rotation of a paper feeding lever 5, the lever 11 is rotated in the direction reverse to an arrow 30 by a spring 25. When a paper feeding pawl 7 rotates a ratchet 17 to the end, the lever 11 is rotated to a second position 33. Then a spring member 11a pushes rolled paper in the direction of the arrow and rotates a roll 23, and thereby the lever 11 is put in the state of standby. By this operation, the rolled paper is let out somewhat more than one pitch of the paper feeding. A time required for the rolled-paper feeding lever 11 to be rotated from the position 32 to the position 33 is shorter than a time required for the paper feeding pawl 7 to rotate the ratchet 17. Therefore the rolled paper 23 is released temporarily from a tensile force, and thus the paper feeding can be performed by a very small power.
