Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feedwater preheater in which finned tubes are connected by U-shaped bend pipes and an automatic welding between the finned tubes and the U-shaped bend pipes can be carried out.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a boiler having a feedwater preheater in which boiler feedwater is preheated by a heat exchanger installed at an exhaust gas passage for flowing exhaust gas discharged out of a boiler, the heat exchanger has many finned tubes 3 installed therein and the end parts of the finned tubes 3 are connected by the U-shaped bend pipes 6 to form a long flow passage. A diameter of each of the U-shaped bend pipes 6 is smaller than a diameter of each of the finned tubes 3, the end part of the U-shaped bend pipe 6 has a straight part and when the finned tubes are connected by the U-shaped bend pipes 6, the straight part of each of the U-shaped bend pipes is inserted from the end part of the finned tubes 3 and the U-shaped bend pipes and the finned tubes are connected through fillet weld.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
