To obtain a safe fermented feed for eliminating and neutralizing a malodor of excreta having excellent malodor eliminating and neutralizing actions on the excreta.
This fermented feed for eliminating and neutralizing a malodor of excreta comprises a component liquid containing a tree prepared froth a Japanese cedar, a Japanese cypress and/or a pine (at about 6-7wt.% concentration, usually in an amount of 5-15 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. fermented liquid) in the fermented liquid (about 6wt.%) produced by inoculating Bacillus subtilis (Bacillus natto) in a liquid culture medium containing rice brans, soybeans, a carbon source and water, culturing the Bacillus subtilis at pH 7.5-10 (especially pH about 9) and about 40-45°C temperature with aeration and filtering the resultant culture liquid. The feed is eaten to provide malodor eliminating and neutralizing effects on feces and urine not only for pets such as a cat but also for livestock animals of chickens and pigs.
