Abstract:
To provide ferritic stainless steel for structural member which has excellent corrosion (pitting) resistane and workability.
The steel has a composition containing ≤0.03% C, ≤1.0% Si, ≤1.0% Mn, ≤0.05% P, >0.002 to 0.02% S, 0.1 to 1.0% Ni, 12 to 16% Cr, 0.1 to l.5% Cu, 0.02 to 0.2% Ti and ≤0.03% N, and satisfying the following inequalities (1) and (2), and the balance Fe with impurities, and, if required, further containing one or more kinds selected from Mo, Nb, V, Al, Mg, Ca and B: Ni(%)+Cu(%)≥0.3...(1), and Mn(%)/Ti(%)≤10...(2).
