Abstract:

To provide ferritic stainless steel which has increased strength, and simultaneously has improved toughness and workability by making powder with a hyperfine grain structure obtained by MA(metallic alloying), MM(metallic milling) or the like into the bulk one while maintaining the structure.

The ferritic stainless steel has a composition containing, by weight, 69.5 to 88.5% Fe and 11 to 30% Cr, and has a structure in which at least one kind selected from the oxides of Cr, Ti and Zr is dipsersed in a grain size of ≤0.02 μm, and which mainly consists of a ferritic structure, and an oxide phase, and a carbon phase formed from inevitably mixed C, and has a crystal grain size of ≤1 μm.
