To obtain a processing agent having improved resistance to shampoo suitable for fibers for artificial hair and ornaments for head by compounding a compound mainly comprising ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and an oiling agent using an amino modified silicone as the principal component.
This processing agent comprises at least one kind of compound (A) using ethylene oxide (hereinafter EO) and propylene oxide (hereinafter PO) as the principal components selected from the group comprising a EO/PO block copolymer, a random copolymer of EO and PO and alkyl ethers of EO and PO and the oiling agent (B) mainly comprising the amino modified silicone, mixing (A) and (B) in the weight ratio (solid content of (A))/(silicone content of (B))=30/70 to 85/5, and 0.02 to 5 wt.% of this processing agent is applied on the fibers for artificial hair.
