To more surely detect fuzz of a fiber bundle.SOLUTION: A fiber bundle inspection apparatus comprises: an illumination device which illuminates a fiber bundle; flattening means which flattens the fiber bundle; an imaging device which images the fiber bundle in the flattened state under the illumination to acquire an inspection image; and an image evaluation device which detects fuzz protruding from the fiber bundle on the basis of the inspection image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
