Abstract:
To provide a fiber containing an identification fiber capable of being used for tracing and tracking back fibers, yarns including fibers, fiber bands and/or articles through at least a part of a supply chain.SOLUTION: Each identification fiber shows at least one different characteristic; each group of the distinguishable identification fibers can show taggant cross-sectional shapes, taggant cross-sectional dimensions, or combinations of the same taggant cross-sectional shape and the same taggant cross-sectional dimension; the different characteristics and the number of the fibers in each group of the distinguishable identification fibers can represent at least one supply chain element of the fibers; the different characteristics can be made detectable in articles including the fibers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
