Abstract:
To provide a fiber-made cushion material which consists wholly of polyester fibers in excellent productivity, is suitable for automotive seats, a for bedding, a for floor cushions, and the like, exhibits hardly a permanent set, is recycled, and has sufficient rigidity, and to provide a method for producing the fiber-made cushion material.
This fiber-made cushion material obtained by molding a mixture of main fibers with binder fibers, wherein the main fibers comprise polyethylene 2,6-naphtalate and wherein the binders have the structures of cores and sheaths which comprise polybutylene terephthalate and/or an aliphatic lactone- copolymerized polyester having a lower melting point than that of the main fiber component.
