Abstract:
To obtain a fiber pitch changing/separating tool capable of easily changing the pitch of a plurality of coated optical fibers to another pitch.
Coated optical fibers 11 are inserted from inserting hole parts 13 and drawn out from discharging hole parts 15 through fiber insertion holes 14. As a result, those coated optical fibers 11 of a coated optical fiber ribbon 12 which are placed side by side at a first number of array and with a first pitch can be easily changed/separated to a second pitch and a second number of array. For example, fine diameter optical fibers of 24 cores with 125 μm pitch can be changed/separated to an array and a pitch composed of 12 cores and 2 levels with 250 μm pitch.
