Title:
FIELD WINDING OF HIGH TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTING ROTATING ELECTRIC MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3853515
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field winding of a high temperature superconducting generator which is hardly affected by field component of the (c) axial direction, and can do without decreasing mean current density when critical current density is part decreased by field components in the (c) axial direction.
SOLUTION: Pancake type coils 3, on which high temperature superconductive tapes 2 are flatly wound are laminated in the radial direction, and a field winding is constituted. Tapes 14, 13 whose critical current densities to a magnetic field in the (a) (b) axes directions or the (c)-axis direction are large are arranged so as to be suitable for a magnetic field condition. In the part where critical current density is small, a number of the high temperature superconductive tapes 2 which are aligned in parallel is increased, or the sectional area is enlarged, thereby preventing partial decrease of critical current density which is to be caused by a magnetic field in the (c) axis direction. Nevertheless when a part in which critical current density is remarkably decreased exists, the high temperature superconductive tape 2 is not wound around the part, and electrical conduction to good conductor is constituted.
