To provide a film processing apparatus capable of cutting a photographic film at a proper position so that the photographic film has no slack when the photographic film and a film reader are separated.
The film processing apparatus includes a cutter 35 which separates the photographic film and film reader L, a conveying roller pair 32b arranged upstream from the cutter 35, a clamping roller pair 40 disposed downstream from the cutter 35, a cutter driver which drives the cutter 35 to cut the photographic film at a predetermined position while the conveying roller pair 32b and clamping roller pair 40 are stopped, a conveyance controller 70 which controls the respective roller pairs so that the clamping roller pair 40 are stopped right after the conveying roller pair 32b are stopped, a first setting unit 81 which sets a set value of the timing where the clamping roller pair 40 are stopped, and a second setting unit 82 which can vary setting for the position of cutting by the cutter 35 within a predetermined range.
