Abstract:
To provide a filter medium for a liquid filter having a low pressure loss, high filtration efficiency and a long filtration life, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A filter medium for a liquid filter contains fibrillated lyocell fibers, and heat-fusible fibers having a fiber diameter of 35 μm or more, wherein at least the fibrillated lyocell fibers have a wet non-woven fabric forming a network structure. A method for manufacturing a filter medium for a liquid filter includes the steps of: preparing a raw material slurry containing fibrillated lyocell fibers, and heat-fusible fibers having a fiber diameter of 35 μm or more; paper-making the raw material slurry, and forming a wet sheet; and drying the wet sheet, and obtaining a dry sheet formed into the filter medium for the liquid filter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
