Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a filter medium with which a fine solid content can be removed by filtering without clogging in an early stage of use by mixing a spacer in a pulverized material of used paper and using the mixture of these as the substantial material of the filter.
CONSTITUTION: When used paper is pulverized, fine fibers of cellulose are obtd. However, when only the pulverized material of used paper 6A is used, dense entangling of fibers is caused. To loosen the entangled fibers, a porous material having elasticity such as chaff, cut straw or the like is added as a spacer 6B. Then the mixture of the pulverized material 6A of used paper and the spacer 6B is used as the substantial material of the filter medium. The mixing ratio is usually 3:7 to 7:3. With the obtd. filter medium, clogging in an early stage of use is not caused and even fine solid material can be surely filtered.
