To provide a method for inputting financial information in which the financial information cannot be copied illegally, in a commercial transaction system that carries out settlements for expenses for various transactions, using a mobile communication terminal in which the financial information is stored.
Financial information, such as client number and valid period of a card being issued, are coded by symmetric key security algorithm by using as a code key an electrical wallet management number for a client mobile terminal, when a card is issued and is then stored directly to a client's terminal for electronic wallet either directly or via a communication network. When a commercial transaction is settled using this mobile communication terminal, the client's electronic wallet management number is input and coded financial information and its management number are optically transmitted to a POS terminal (or a card inquiry terminal). Then, the electronic settlement organization decodes the coded financial information, by using the electronic wallet management number transmitted from the POS terminal (or the card inquiry terminal). Accordingly, even if the coding algorithm is known, the financial information for the client cannot be used, as long as the client's electronic wallet management number is known and the effect where duplication also cannot be effected is provided.
