Title:
FINE COMPOSITE POLYMER PARTICLE AND IMAGE RECORDING MATERIAL USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3508082
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain fine composite polymer particles useful for image recording materials with improved physical film properties and antistatic performance without having adverse effects on the image characteristics and deteriorating coatability by e.g. polymerizing a specific hydrophobic monomer in the presence of inorganic fine particles.
SOLUTION: The fine particles with inorganic fine particles dispersed in a hydrophobic polymeric compound of formula II are obtained by such a method as to polymerize (B) a hydrophobic monomer of formula 1 (R1 is t-butyl or the like) in the presence of (A) inorganic fine particles such as colloidal silica. The mean particle size of the particles when being incorporated in an image recording maternal is preferably around 0.005-3.0μm in weight average.
