PURPOSE: To finely position a minutely-driven loading table with high precision by memorizing the insensitive band setting width into a microcomputer, in a machine tool for the high precision working for electronic parts, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The insensitive band setting width C (4 pulses or so) is previously memorized into a CPU 2, and the present position A is read by a counter 1. When an aimed value is B, and the distance of sending A-B is less than C, A-B/D=G (D is one pulse driving quantity of table) is calculated, or when B-A is less than C, B-A/D=G is calculated, and the table is retreated or advanced by the G pulse portion, and the table is allowed to escape from an insensitive band, and positioned. Therefore, positioning with high precision is permitted over all the region, and the shape error is not left in the application to working, and working can be carried out with the final resolving power of a length metering device.
