To provide a fire extinguisher capable of keeping required pressure resistance and impact resistance over a long period of time by covering a base material layer which is the body of a pressure resistant container by a protective layer and surely preventing degradation due to the weatherability of the base material layer, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.
The fire extinguisher includes the pressure resistant container 2 filled up with a fire extinguishing agent. The pressure resistant container 2 includes the pressure resistant base material layer 3 in a multilayer structure formed of a thermoplastic resin, and a protective layer 4 arranged on the outer side. The protective layer 4 made of a thermoplastic resin to which an ultraviolet ray shielding agent is added. For the pressure resistant container 2, a multilayer formed of the thermoplastic resin having the base material layer and the protective layer arranged on the outer side is arranged between divided dies and blow-molded.
