Abstract:

To change a processor without replacing a firmware memory and a circuit board.

The firmware selector of a computer including a processor is provided. The selector receives the identification information of the processor and accesses the firmware corresponding to the processor in accordance with the identification. As the selector can guide the processor to the proper firmware, in a case when the computer stores a plurality of pieces of firmware, a customer can change the processor by the selector without replacing a firmware memory and a circuit board.
