To provide a ruler for forming an adhesive layer capable of forming a base layer with high accuracy when a tile is stuck to a prescribed position through the base layer and the adhesive layer at a projecting corner part of a building, and a tile sticking method capable of sticking the tile firmly with high accuracy by using the ruler.SOLUTION: A base layer forming ruler for forming a base layer when a tile is stuck to a predetermined position at a projecting corner part of a building through the base layer and an adhesive layer, comprises at least: a rectangular flat-plate-shaped attachment part having a ruler surface to be attached to a wall surface constituting the projecting corner; a rectangular flat-plate-shaped inclined part having one side connected to the attachment part and extending so as to be inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the ruler surface; and a rectangular flat-plate-shaped support part extending in parallel with the attachment part from another side of the inclined part opposite to the one side. A ridge part where the attachment part and the inclined part are connected to each other forms a flat surface extending at a predetermined angle with respect to the ruler surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
