Title:
FIXING TEMPERATURE CONTROL FOR IMAGE FORMING DEVICE CAPABLE OF EXECUTING BOTH-SURFACE PRINTING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3457215
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the temperature rise of a photoreceptor drum being peculiar to an image forming device constituted so that both-surface printing can be executed while securing fixation by setting the set temperature of a fixing means to first fixing temperature at the printing time of one surface and changing it to second fixing temperature from the first fixing temperature stepwise while the printing of the prescribed number of sheets is executed at the printing time of both surfaces.
SOLUTION: The temperature control of the fixing means 5 is shifted at the set temperature being 180±5°C at the printing time of only one surface of paper and in a normal stable standby state. At the printing time of both surfaces, the temperature control based on a fixing temperature control table is executed. That means, since the fixing temperature is equally set to that of the printing time of one surface while the printing of the prescribed number of sheets is executed from the beginning, fixing performance is secured. By making the fixing temperature gradually approach the set temperature of the printing time of both surfaces halfway, the temperature rise of the photoreceptor drum 41 is eliminated. Thus, the fixation is realized while suppressing the temperature rise of the drum 41.
