Abstract:
To provide a flake production method where flaking can be simply and massively performed by peeling and crashing a layered material (for example, graphite) having strength anisotropy.SOLUTION: In a flake production method,: a three dimensional high speed rotation ball mill device charged with balls, a solvent and a layered material having strength anisotropy in a spherical container is used; the spherical container is performed with biaxial rotation around a first axis and a second axis having an axial direction in a vertical direction to the axis direction of the first axis; the layered material is peeled and crashed and flakes (for example, graphene) are obtained; the flakes floating in the solvent after peeling and crashing are recovered; and the flakes settled in the solvent are recovered.
