Abstract:

To provide a flame retardant foaming polystyrenic resin particle capable of providing a foam molding having heat insulation and flame retardancy.

The flame retardant foaming polystyrenic resin particle contains an organic bromine-based flame retardant, wherein the organic bromine-based flame retardant is distributed in the surface layer of the flame retardant foaming polystyrenic resin particle such that when the cross-section of the flame retardant foaming polystyrenic resin particle is line-analyzed by an electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA), the surface layer of the flame retardant foaming polystyrenic resin particle is higher in the X-ray intensity value of the Br element constituting the organic bromine-based flame retardant than the central part thereof by 50 to 8,000 count.
