Abstract:
To provide a flame-retardant resin composition free from halogens and phosphorus compounds and excellent in flame retardancy and a process for producing the same.
Provided are a flame-retardant resin composition prepared by dispersing a layered double hydroxide and/or a metal hydroxide having a mean particle diameter of at most 1 μm in a phenolic resin or a modified phenolic resin with the aid of p-hydroxybenzoic acid and a process for producing the same.
