Title:
FLAT CLAY TILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3535105
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress infiltration of rainwater from a gap at a boundary portion between flat clay tiles arranged adjacently to each other in a longitudinal direction.
SOLUTION: A rectangular clay tile body is formed such that an upper superposed portion is formed on one side thereof and a lower superposed portion is protruded on the other side thereof, and that a back board is formed on a tail side thereof and a hanging is formed on a top side thereof. The flat clay tiles which each have an overlap portion 7 having its top side protrude from a side edge of the upper superposed portion, are zigzag-roofed on a roof substrate. Thus, the gap between the flat clay tiles adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction is formed between the overlap portion 7 of one of the flat clay tiles and an upper surface of the other flat clay tile with a side portion being opened. As a result, direct invasion of rainwater dropping from above can be suppressed.
