To obtain a flaw erasing agent for photography which is easy to handle and has a high flaw erasing effect by using liquid having a specific refractive index and specific viscosity.
This flaw erasing agent consists of the liquid having the refractive index of 1.5 to 1.8 and viscosity of 0.1 to 100cps. The liquid viscosity is more preferably 0.5 to 70cps. The liquid having such viscosity may be prepd. by using a soln. compd. having such viscosity or by mixing a soln. compd. having a high viscosity and a soln. compd. having a low viscosity. The adjustment of the viscosity by addition of a surfactant is equally preferable. The more particularly preferable surfactant is a fluorine surfactant. The refractive index is preferably 1.54 to 1.78. The reason thereof lies in that such surfactant has an effect of making the flaws hardly visible even if air remains deep in the flaws. Namely, the refractive index is preferably set equal to or slightly higher than the average refractive index of the blanks, cellulose triacetate, etc., used for a photographic base.
