PURPOSE: To provide a flexible inserting tube with a constant inner diameter, and excellent bending rigidity, fatigue resistance, forceps passage, medical material compatibility, inner friction, and inner pressurizing characteristics, by providing the tube with a flexible tubular inner liner made of polytetrafluoroethylene and a tubular outer sleeve made of an elastomer. CONSTITUTION: This inserting tube 10 consists of a tubular liner made of a porous drawn polytetrafluoroethylene and an outer sleeve 14 made of a tubular elastomer such as silicone, etc. The outer sleeve has a diameter slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the tubular liner before assembling. The tubular liner is inserted into a slightly expanded armor of the outer sleeve and heated to be joined. Next, a tubular end part fitting 16 is inserted into the above- mentioned assembly. One end of the inserting tube is equipped with an inner round groove 18 to prevent a sudden change of the diameter of the inserted tube which may interfere equipment passing. Thus the inserting tube can be bent in a small circle without twisting, pass equipment well even in a bent condition, and be quickly washed and sterilized since it is highly impermeable against various kinds of liquid.
