PURPOSE: To reduce use of flushing water and obtain a hygienic and pleasant flush toilet by constituting a bowl holding solid and liquid so as to be pivotally rotatable around a horizontal axis.

CONSTITUTION: A fixed part 2 is formed of a flat rectangular plate in which an oval orifice 4 is formed. A movable part 1 is constituted of a bottomed ellipsoidal bowl 5 and a hinge pin 3 is set nearly along the shorter axis of an elliptic circle orthogonal to the arrowed face of a user who is sitting down on the front half part 2a of the fixed part 2 forming the toilet seat. Further, a pressurized water washing device formed of a water-sprinkling pipe 7 extended along the rear edge 6 and inwardly curved and holes facing the wall of the stool 5 are arranged in the bowl 5. When using it, the part 1a of the movable part 1 is positioned to confront the part 26 of the fixed part 2 and, the part 1b is positioned to confront the part 2a. After use, the movable part 1 is rotated approximately 180 degree around the hinge pin 3 to position the part 1a to confront the part 2a and transfer the part 1b to confront the part 2b.
