To provide a foil printer of a handy type for effectively using a print film by simply printing by one hand.

A film roll 3 obtained by winding a print film 4 obtained in a lengthy state by releasably sticking a foil on a base film is detachably contained in a case 1 of a size operable by a hand-holding with an opening 2 for printing. A roller 5 for printing is mounted in the opening 2 in the state that part of its periphery is exposed. Thus, the film 4 fed from the roll 3 is bridged to the outer periphery of the roller 5 in the opening 2, and wound on a take-up roller 6. A foil is printed on a character and/or graphic form by pressing and rotating the roller 5 by gripping the case 1 to drawn character and/or the form by an adhesive ink.
