Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which imparts a mark to an arbitrary position whose folding is to be detected of a sheet-like member on a booklet manufacturing device for transferring the member in a state of being gathered and saddle-stitched, detects the presence or absence of the mark on a transfer line of the booklet manufacturing device, and thereby detects folding of the member; and a booklet manufacturing device provided with an application mechanism of this method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method which previously imparts a mark of an arbitrary color to an arbitrary position of a sheet-like member constituting the content of a booklet whose folding is to be detected of the member on a booklet manufacturing device for transferring the member in a state of being gathered and saddle-stitched by printing, detects the presence or absence of a mark on a transfer line of the booklet manufacturing device, collates the measured result with the previously set numeric value, determines that the folding has occurred in the gathered member when the measured values are different from each other, and ejects the member from a manufacturing process.
