Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate the fitting/removing actions of a foot fin by forming a recess section at the tip of the bottom plate of the foot fin, and a jaw section at the rear end. CONSTITUTION: A bottom plate 33 of a foot insertion section 32 at the rear of a web section 31 is made of a rigid material, and a recess section 34 is formed at the tip section. An elastically deformable connection section 37 is formed at the rear end of the bottom plate 33, and a lever 38 is connected to it. For the fitting of a foot fin to a boot 40, the tip portion of a rigid sole 41 is inserted into the recess section 43, the rear end portion is depressed and engaged with a jaw section 39 formed on the lever 38, and a engaging recess 44 is engaged with a hook pin 45 when an instep cover 43 is depressed by the other foot. For the removal of the foot fin, the rear end section of the lever 38 is depressed by the other foot, then the engaging between the rear end portion of the sole 41 and the jaw section 39 and the engaging between the engaging recess 44 and the hook pin 45 can be concurrently released.
