Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lyophilized liposome preparation in which the liposome encapsulates two or more drugs and which has resistance to damage caused by freezing/thawing and dehydration, thereby maintaining size and integrity thereof.SOLUTION: The lyophilized gel phase liposome composition comprises the following (a) and (b): (a) a gel phase liposome comprising a liposome membrane of 20 mol% or less of cholesterol, and at least 1 mol% of phosphatidylglycerol (PG) and/or phosphatidylinositol (PI), the liposome being stably aggregated with two or more therapeutic agents and/or diagnostic agents, and exhibiting a melt phase temperature (TC) of 37°C or more; and (b) a cryoprotectant present only on the outside of the liposome.SELECTED DRAWING: None
