This structure provides reduction in the weight and cost of a vehicle using a front cross member 1 with posterior closure and open cross-section. At a crossing part of the front cross member 1 to a hood lock support 4, jointing flanges 5 are mounted at its upper and lower portions. The hood lock support 4 is extended to the lower end of the front cross member 1 and fixed to the jointing flanges 5 with bolts and nuts 6 at two of the upper and lower portions.
