Abstract:
A face milling cutter configured by fixing cartridges (10), to which respective throwaway tips (20) are attached, in a plurality of cartridge pockets (102) formed in the outer periphery of a cutter body (100), wherein the throwaway tips are each attached to a cartridge tip such that a main cutting blade (24) of the throwaway tip protrudes axially from the distal end face of the cartridge, and the edge of an auxiliary cutting blade (26), which is formed at an acute angle to the main cutting blade, abuts the radially outer lateral surface (14a) of a tip pocket (14) formed in the cartridge.
