To provide a fuel cell unit that supplies oxidant gas equally to fuel cell unit cells in a heat exchanger having meandering oxidant gas passages.
A fuel cell unit includes a heat exchanger 22 that exchanges heat between combustion gas produced by combustion of gas that has not been used in power generation and oxidant gas that is supplied through a different path from that of the combustion gas, so as to heat the oxidant gas. The heat exchanger 22 has: oxidant gas passages 72 through which oxidant gas to be heated passes; a plurality of guide sections 73 that make the flow of the oxidant gas meander; an oxidant gas introduction section 74 that introduces oxidant gas; and a plurality of oxidant gas lead-out sections 76a that supply the oxidant gas to a fuel cell unit cell assembly having a plurality of fuel cell unit cells. An opening 75 that restricts the flow of the oxidant gas is provided downstream of the guide sections 73 and at a downstream end of the oxidant gas passages 72. The opening 75 is formed in such a manner that the distances between the opening 75 and each oxidant gas lead-out section 76a are all equal.
